Brian Joos
I'm a travel and adventure photographer based in Whitefish, Montana, working at the edge of Glacier National Park and beyond. My work ranges from wide landscapes to tight portraits, living its best life at the intersection of wild places and the human world in the moments where the two overlap and shape each other.
That range has taken me from the urban wonderland of Pittsburgh to the Richest Hill on Earth in Butte, Montana, from the Arctic light of Svalbard and Greenland to the coastlines of France and Madeira. Each place offers something different, and I try to seek out this unique character rather than imposing a pre-conceived vision. It's less about chasing a postcard shot than about finding a moment where a landscape, a city, or a person reveals something true about the place they're in.
